Kimmel's Kid's Corner Skit Offends China

Sean Lock on Bono

Wot's all this then? U2 were at their peak with ZooTV but I stopped listening to them once they put out that unlistenable "Pop" CD in 1997. It's all been dirge music since then, just retire already. Take a lesson from R.E.M.

Bono on His Dad's Final Days

ChaosEngine says...

I'm not a big U2 fan at all, but a bunch of friends were going to Slane so I actually saw them perform about 4 days after his dad died.

I can take or leave their music, but christ they can put on a show. And when he dedicated "Kite" to his dad, it was a pretty epic moment.

At least, that's how I remember it, but I was stoned out of my tree. Also, Coldplay played earlier and confirmed my suspicions that they were absolutely amazing...ly fucking awful. Seriously, fuck coldplay.

So in conclusion, that artist does not know how to draw a pint of Guinness!

Cheers, mate.

It's quite fascinating that Manning has already been imprisoned for a longer period of time than Francis Gary Powers, the U2 pilot who was shot down by the Soviets and convicted of espionage.

@radx, perfect title, brother. Spot on, this is pretty much a Stalin era show trial.

Stunning timelapses of Earth from the ISS

Astounding.

Breathtaking.

I've seen a good few of these, and thought I understood the scale, but I got such a serious "I can see my house from here" moment (3:10, mid-to-far left, in case you wonder) that re-re-re-re-ignited my astonishment at humanity's achievements, that I was literally left speechless.

James May said it better: "It's slightly humbling" or, more descriptively, "oh, god, it's... sorry, I'm slightly... woah... it's amazing".
