I'm half-tempted to suggest a decree that future self-congratulatory announcements (for items that deal with anything less than a gold-ishing) be discarded as posts (with the key fact being that these be self-congratularoy announcements: if a second party wishes to congratulate a notable bronze/silver, we won't tramp down against that).

We would, of course, keep the existing post up with a warning to others that it's only being kept as a notice to others not to use it as a precdent but rather as a standing warning of what "not to do".

Rowan Atkinson is worthy of comparison to Chaplin or Keaton. Mr. Bean sketches are as funny as anything the Little Tramp ever did. Avoid BEAN - THE MOVIE at all costs, however.
