Happy Fox
>> ^Sagemind:
Red foxes are predators that instinctively hunt birds, small game and animals as large as sheep. goats and small calves. It is doubtful it could be trusted around small children and definitely not other pets.
You could say this about -every- dog in the entire world. I wouldn't trust my Jack Russles alone with my cats or my young nephews even though the dogs are good natured, they are still animals. Think we should mass kill every single dog? Extreame, but a damn good point. This fox was obviously rescued as a pup and the owner has shown it such love. I applaud. Foxes have a horrible stereotype, remember that we made foxes what they are by extending our towns and cities further and further into the countryside, making a huge mess as we go. Theres bound to be urbanised foxes, because lets face it, routing through bins is going to be easier than catching your dinner.
And foxes don't go for fully grown healthy sheep it's too much effort and a waste of time. They're cunning, remember, they'll only go for the easies. The sick and the old and the newborn. Yeah it's a pain, but it's an occupational hazard for anyone keeping lifestock.
Greatest wedding procession ever
How can people be negative about this?!
These are some of the most genuinely happy people I've ever seen. It's so innocent and good natured.
And as it happens, the cinematography is (coincidentally) quite excellent at 3:00 when the groom stands up, straightens his tie, and the rest of the procession swims by. If I made a montage of the best Internet videos ever, those 30 seconds would be in it.
Burger King's 7-Patty Whopper In Japan For Win7 Promo
Mac bigotry = win esp. when it's called that in the spirit of good natured fun.

Who Wants a Horny TV Quiz-Show Host?
>> ^buzz:
Very funny I though but question, if this was a guy host and a female contestant would it be taken as good natured fun by everybody? I doubt it. I'm sure there'd be some group bitching about harrassment
Men and women are not equal in many ways and I'm happy with that because it's fact. You can't call equality on everything. Older man pawing at a younger woman is pervy.
If he came out afterwards and said he was uncomfortable I'd understand, but a lot of good looking men dressed up in uniform with a hot older woman is not going to complain about this harassment.

Mayor Outlaws Police Chases... Government Fail
>> ^blankfist:
You're trolling, good sir. Your lies have no place on here. I think I've explained myself quite effectively how asking the same system to create a system of oversight is a bad idea. Troll somewhere else, please.
I'm trying to stay good-natured here, but calling someone a liar sounds a bit more like trolling than what I said.
It seems I accurately represented your position -- you're against oversight, and don't say what you'd do to address the issue.
In this case, we have more limits on government (no running), to cut back on government spending. All we need now is a local government type promising to use the savings to cut taxes, and we've got what sounds to be like the ultimate in a small-government legislative package.
It seems to me that objections to this as being stupid means taking a position counter to your prevailing ideological tilt -- a call to remove limits on government powers, and approve of the government spending more money, likely leading an increase in taxes. Presumably you would be in favor of that because it means empowering the government in order to achieve a social good (upholding the rule of law).
You put everything I support through a similar chain of logic, and come out the other end calling me violent, a statist, a socialist, a fascist, and just like Hitler.
Calling me a troll for holding up a mirror to that in a tongue in cheek way seems a bit uncalled for.
This Place Has Been Amazing, But It's Time To Leave :) (History Talk Post)
First and foremost: BOOOOOOOO!
Furthermore...
For as long as I've been here (and thus, as long as you've been here) this element has been in play. I don't see that anything is any different now; I suspect you're just seeing it differently now that someone/something has you annoyed. I don't know if that helps or hurts, but that's my 2 bits.
World of Warcraft Vent snippets repeated back to players
[FOREIGN NERD LANGUAGE] made me chuckle. Other than that, the only value in this is the amazingly good-natured way these guys take this...which might just be out of stupidity.

Would said person call our system of democratically elected representatives a democracy?
Did he own slaves?
Did he favor corporal punishment?
Was he a man with limits on his reason or knowledge, who allowed for the possibility of change to all principles? Or someone who felt that his word shall be law for all generations henceforth like a combination of monarch and messiah?
Do you want to water the tree of liberty, blankfist?
Jefferson was a man of many complicated contradictions and the occasional duplicitous nature which I've mentioned numerous times, most recently here. He did own slaves, and petition through Congress his entire life for the emancipation of slaves, which he really did believe would be freed by the generation following his own. He was wrong, but he was very much known for his romanticized vision of people's good nature.
As for the "democratically elected representatives" he was very much for strong Republicanism with a democracy. Voting for their Congress representation was something he believed in for the people. I've never read whether or not he believed people should vote for their president or not. I know it wasn't an option for the people until 1828 when Jackson, the first Democrat, created the first populist presidential electoral process.
I don't know how he felt about corporal punishment. Weird question.
I know he proposed the idea of generational sovereignty, which I also talk about at the link above. That proves he believed people should not be held to the chains of their ancestor's government and specifically their debt. And, I don't disagree with that. It also doesn't mean I'm going to lay down and let authoritarian tyrants pass anti-liberty legislation, either. Because the one thing he believed in before all else was liberty.
I do want to water the tree of liberty. Thanks for asking. I don't want to do it violently, but I'd certainly like to see more liberty in my lifetime.
Andy Kaufman Offers a Refund for Heartbeeps
I have a good response to this television image, respect for the fans of Andy Kaufman and I hold onto what boasts to be a special edition of the FORMAN film MAN ON THE MOON. On October 31, 2008, I found out my mother had bought me a VHS/DVD unit with which I was able to run tapes like my passed-around MAN ON THE MOON. I like the way Carrey and Giamatti appear in MAN ON THE MOON and I like the song The Great Beyond. That is my favourite R.E.M. song. MAN ON THE MOON co-star Danny DeVito knew Andy Kaufman? They were co-stars at one time in a comedy? I enjoyed Kaufman and DeVito when they were syndicated in an over-the-air broadcast during my childhood and MAN ON THE MOON likewise represents Kaufman's childhood as similarly comic to the one I enjoyed and I am privileged that I got to enjoy with the eyes of a child broadcasts of the DeVito/Kaufman comedy. I was almost getting cynical lately what with the lack of clear comic direction I was encountering to keep me in good spirits and I wanted very much a pointer, more indications that Andy Kaufman-style comedy continues to be effective and an expression of very sweet, funny good-natured sentiments or what have come to be those and my MAN ON THE MOON tape sleeve has a Canadian Home Video Rating of PG which illustrates how sensibilities where Kaufman-type comedy is concerned change.

You've been one of my favorite sifters since like the beginning of time. There was always the personal gratitude for how you really helped out by upvoting my Unsifted vids when I had recently stopped lurking and just started sifting a bit more than a year ago, of course, but beyond that you're just always radiating your charm and loveliness and that positive attitude of yours. I guess you're unable not to And there's always me being a cat-person, too. I hope you never leave the place-it just wouldn't be the same without you.
Cheers, Ed
