Yeah except Machida doesn't use any of that karate bullshit in the ring. You ever seen him do a traditional karate punch or block in a real fight? His stance is a bit unorthodox but it's still not one of the flat-footed stances karate teaches you. And Shogun made him look silly.

Also, Shogun was a brilliant fighter back in the day, but experienced a series of injuries and setbacks and spent a considerable period away from the sport. Shogun has only recently begun his comeback, and the improvements from his Mark Coleman fight to his Machida fight is just amazing. I think it's Shogun who will be back in May stronger than ever, but in any case it's going to be an awesome event.

Yeah both Silva and Machida had 13-0 records, but Machida had a much more impressive resume of opponents. I still think Machida is overrated though, especially considering his last "win" over Shogun was one of the most controversial decisions in MMA history. Stupid when the judges are there because of politics and not because of their MMA experience and knowledge.

Also, Machida drinks his own urine.

Looks very similar to one of our favorite Japanese dishes "Horenso no gomae" but without the garlic. I would think that the raw garlic would be very strong in this dish.

I remember from reading Shogun - that the Japanese called Korea "Land of the Garlic Eaters" back in the bad old days.

Shogun toys weren't invented or manufactured by Mattel.. but were Japan imports sold under the familiar toy company name... especially in those days. I had a huge Gaiking robot myself around 1977.. I was like 3-4 years old.
