Grifaffe

See the link above…that alien offensive was in 08.

Chytridiomycosis. I think it was biological warfare by the giraffes…we were just about to seize the planet and increase humidity to 100% everywhere, and force the remaining humans to toil in the tubifex worm farms when suddenly we were all hit with Chytridiomycosis. Coincidence? We think not.

Karma Hits Russia Hard

noims says...

I didn't laugh or celebrate when Katrina hit New Orleans the year after the US invaded Iraq. I won't celebrate a dam bursting in far east Russia the year after they invade Ukraine.

I don't think the people of Ussuriysk deserved wildfires any more than the people of California.

It's not karma. If you want you can call it bad luck, or mankind suffering due to our own effect on the planet.

Plus, I would have thought an AI wrote that script except I think it would have done a better job. Am I missing context when it comes to 'the flood'? Badly written, badly voiced, but not quite enough for me to downvote.

Why Saudi Arabia Keeps Announcing New 'Gigaprojects'

newtboy says...

Sure sounds like they can afford to pay for and provide their own military then, and we can stop supplying them defense.

Wait….the entire country had a surplus of only $27 billion!?! WHAT!?!
Just a few years ago California had a surplus of $100 billion! Last year it was $50 billion. Where are our giga-projects!?!

It makes me wonder, how do they intend to pay for the upkeep on these hyper expensive ostentatious projects when the planet stops being addicted to oil? They have nothing else of value.

Trump to be arrested

newtboy says...

You forgot the ultimate puppet master, 92 year old billionaire George Soros who, according to Maggots, is so hyper intelligent and all powerful that he personally controls everything that happens on the planet including specifically the NYDA, and screws everyone out of money for pure greed despite his having donated $32 billion to charities, he’s now worth just over $8 billion.

Can Trump get a fair chance in a court of law?
Considering the number of unqualified judges he appointed to those courts that owe him their positions and are willing to bend over backwards to protect him, no, I think the courts are heavily tipped in his favor not “fair”.

San Francisco Leaders Question Reasons Behind Store Closure

newtboy says...

No question now, evil corporation that lies constantly and panders to anti American extremists.

Because of their evil extremist anti choice pandering, California just cancelled a $54 million a year contract for drugs for prisoners.
Expect more to come, Walgreens is done in the 4th largest economy on the planet, California.
State government health plans will likely be next to ban Walgreens.
California (and other states) customers are boycotting…those few that still shopped at Walgreens in the first place.

It’s idiotic to pander to a failing cult and turn off your biggest customer base….like Tesla and Twitter. All 3 turned hard right directly into the sewer. Bye Felicia. We’ll be better off without any of you.

Jesus fuck….these morons you vote for, who vehemently oppose keeping the irs staffed and want to cut its workforce by 90000 are at the same time complaining on the floor how SLOW the irs is, that it can take months to get assigned an agent, and near a year to get a refund in many cases….but they don’t want to hire more workers, they want to drive off those that are left by removing their ability to telecommute and work from home. They are pretending that working from home is not working at all, but vacation.

I think their constituents would be shocked to see how much telecommuting the Republican representatives themselves do, especially if you consider it vacation.
More dishonest blame games over the repercussions of their own actions. More totally hypocritical stupidity. More “Do as we say, not as we do” because the right thinks rules and laws don’t apply to them….to paraphrase you, “only a fool would follow the law if it hurts them to do so”.

Typical daily hypocritical dishonest nonsense from your ilk, the most dishonest group of people to ever stain the planet.

In case you aren’t aware, this is one more red herring to distract you from their refusal to increase the debt ceiling unless they get their way, because tanking the economy doesn’t matter one bit to them….they’ll just blame Biden and idiots like you will agree.

517000 jobs in January. Something else they’re trying to distract you from….the fastest covid recovery of any country’s economy thanks to relief for lower income citizens after the worst economic fall from Covid while Trump denied Covid and gave handouts to millionaires.

Artemis launch to the moon

noims says...

Something tells me you'd appreciate a Monty Python sketch about the prices on planet Algon, but I didn't find a clip in the 10 seconds I spent looking so you might have to read the script and use your imagination.

BSR said:

While waiting for the launch of Artemis they switched to a segment where they showed a moon rock encased in (glass?) It also appears as something else is also encased with it.

Still being overwhelmed with Happy Birthday texts. My phone shows 99+ texts waiting. The + is probably the highest number it will display. Deleting them one at a time is really taking away what time I have left on this planet as I'm closing in on my 70's.

What are my options if there is no fix for this?

EDIT: Just noticed Lucky's post

What composting a human body could look like

eric3579 says...

I'm all about the zero cost donate my body to science method, and sure if there was a zero/minimal cost plot of land someone wanted to dig a hole in and toss my body in, i'm good with that.
1) Minimal cost
2) Greatest benefit to society and or the planet.
And yes of course the dumpster/landfill thing was just a goof comment.

This works well for me https://meded.ucsf.edu/willed-body-program

Giant impact could have formed the Moon more rapidly

noims says...

That's very cool and really pretty, and I've watched it a load of times, but that moon is waaaaaaay closer to the planet than our moon. I know it's slowly moving away from us, but I wouldn't have thought it would have started off that close.
