Oh I mean more the co-op combat style. The gameplay they've showed so far reminds me a lot of L4D mixed with 3rd person shooter mechanics.

Well done trailer, seems like it's shaping up to be an open world L4D.

Problem with most open world games though tends to be that the value of content drowns out any semblance of pacing, focussed storyline and personality. Hopefully it doesn't turn out that way.

Yeah, I really liked it too and don't know why it gets hated on so much. It's likely because aside from the first L4D, I never played any of the other zombie games.

They forgot CSS, TF2, L4D, L4D2, and the original Call of Duty, which are all way more popular than half the games on that list were at their peak. I guess the emphasis is on eye candy rather than good design.

The demo for the sequel is awful; combining boring, repetitive, not particularly scary environments with truly awful storytelling and plot lines. Videogame developers need to realize that if you are not skilled at story telling (and almost all of them are not) that you should keep your plot simple and unintrusive. I heard they fired the crew that made the original game, which is a bad omen. Maybe the L4D inspired MP will have some redeeming value.

Also, this commercial is lame IMO, but I hate almost all advertising to begin with, so no surprises there.
