Tarantino tells the infamous Scorsese story
Well, Kevin Smith is one hilarious fucker too, so that's a high bar to set.
As a raconteur of behind-the-scenes Hollywood stories, Tarantino is nowhere near as entertaining or funny as Kevin Smith...

No apostrophe necessary in the title.
Curses, I've been caught! Thanks.
Kevin Smith: New Yorkers on Jersy folks
I laughed. I cried. That may be the best film Kevin Smith ever made.

Kevin Smith: Creation vs Criticism
See, the thing is that Red Letter Media reviews are as much a new thing in itself, like Zero Punctuation. It's comedy, not "just" a review.
>> ^EvilDeathBee:
Red Letter Media/Plinkett reviews of bad movies are still entertaining. Usually more entertaining than the film being reviewed
Kevin Smith: Creation vs Criticism

Life's too short to waste it on crap like Jersey Girl. I want my hour(s) back!

Wow you're a genius, you should write and direct movies.

It's as true as when Stephen Fry said it on Room 101. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO_jmUDaHSA&feature=player_detailpage#t=64s
I've liked every Kevin Smith movie I have seen. I wouldn't call them great cinema or compare them to some art house flick or Woody Allen film, but I enjoyed them. That's the point, I don't think I have never NOT enjoyed a movie. I've disagreed with them, I've been selective about the ones I will go see but every one of which had some redeeming quality and gave me some pleasure. I don't get why critics exist really, learned analysis of a movie ok that's fine...giving a movie a certain number of Stars or a directional digit? No thanks keep your ridiculous math to yourself and just say "It's good see it" or "Not for me but if you like _____ maybe you'll like this."
Henry Rollins: The One Decision that Changed My Life Forever
>> ^Stormsinger:
I like listening to Henry Rollins almost as much as I like listening to Kevin Smith, and for many of the same reasons. These two men are witty, articulate, and they just "get it". Every single talk I've heard from either of them has always contained some little nugget I hadn't previously considered.
This! I don't know why people hate Kevin Smith soo much, whenever I hear the guy talk I'll listen forever. Same with Louis CK when he's just on a radio show or doing an interview...or John Cleese...OR Stephen Fry! Goddammit too many interesting people!

But damned if I can see how Rollins or Black Flag ever got a following...it doesn't seem to be for any musical ability, it must have been more for lyrics than anything else.
TYT: Church Kidnaps Teens, Holds Them At Gunpoint
Wow. What the hell? It's like someone watched Kevin Smith's Red State and thought: "That seems like a great idea!!"
This makes a great argument against organized religion.
