I am free all day Wednesday and Friday.

7:30 is 5:30 for me -- so any day also works. I can take my laptop into my warm cozy bed and watch comfortably.

I am blessed with the ability to sleep anywhere, anytime, so waking up early is not a big deal.

This is exciting!

Wesley James is turning out to be one rather unattractive baby -- long, skinny, looks like a grumpy old man. Luckily, he looks exactly like his grandfather did at the same age. And granddad grew up to be normal looking.

But I really liked your first rendition -- this isn't a portrait, it's an idea. If we tried to get long skinny actual Wesley James on his feet, he'd look like gollum. I don't think his parents would enjoy that.

Cool!

Ok! I think I'm ready now : Sorry for the delay. I'm around weekdays after work 7:30am until latest noon (CST) Or I can try to get up early for the evenings if you prefer then. I can stream while drawing and you can tell me if/when I'm on the right track!

let me know what day(s) might be good for you!

OWS 'Wayward Mom' reacts angrily to NY Post article

blackoreb says...

I think you've dismissed the tone too readily. And also the content.

The article tells us:
She is "obsessed" and "abandon[ed] [her] family" to "[cozy] up to some like-minded radicals". She is "otherwise 'occupied'" and "plans to stray awhile". She is "keeping herself warm at night with the help of a young waiter". In the morning "the pair... woke up... on their little patch of paving stone... and dashed off... to wash up." Her slogan is to "Make Love Not War".

I'm pretty sure there is some defamation of character in there somewhere.

Is there any law that allows her to sue (faux/NYpost) for defamation of character for being misrepresented?

Besides the tone ofthe piece, How was she misrepresented?

Video Of The Moment Gaddafi Was Caught

>> ^cosmovitelli:

You have to remember that these are soulless savages. One group of savages oppresses another and periodically the tables turn. At least one of them is dead now. Maybe some day we can make real progress on eliminating the four or five billion more who are exactly as evil as Gaddafi.

The 9 month bloodshed in Libya is a pleasant afternoon in the park compared to what was done to Iraq over a decade for money by the richest and fattest men ever to live. I assume you're including the western ultra mass-murderers in this analysis?
Also, big difference, this is a WIN.
Fuck anyone who abuses power to hurt children. If I met him on the battlefield I'd have killed the secret police running, manipulative propagandist torturing murdering fuck myself.

Life under Gaddafi in Libya was equally posh and cozy compared to life under Saddam. The right tyrant was put down first. You can't judge post-Saddam Iraq without understanding the horrific state it had been put into by Saddam's years of depravity, mass murder and absolute repression. Gaddafi was a very soft by comparison.

Obama Speaks Candidly on Unknown Open Mic

Yogi says...

>> ^MaxWilder:

You gotta be brain damaged if you think that health care bill would have passed without Obama pushing congress. He worked his ass off, and like he said, paid a lot for it politically. He has earned the right to call it his.
Also I agree with the above who want to start with cutting defense. Stop the wars, then we can start cutting other programs if necessary.

So you believe that Big Pharma and Big Insurance Just lobbied Obama? That's bullshit...this bill was always gonna pass as long as it supported the bottom line which it did. He can call it his if he wants to...thats just him cozying up to more corporations.

The Difference Speeding Makes

westy says...

Its weird i don't drive myself but i'm the typ of person thats pretty relaxed and would let people pass im not sure why people in cars go mental about gaining 5 minutes.

Just put the radio on to something chilled out get the car cozy and enjoy the ride it sure beats public transport allot of the time.

I guess people schedule there lives really tight or feal like they haven't hit a goal if they miss something by cupple of minutes.

having said all that if i worked a shitty 9-5 job then id probably just be batshit mental 24,7.

>> ^BoneRemake:

>> ^DerHasisttot:
sigh

That is pretty well the same reaction I had to the lame comments. I have always driven like a "grandma" as some say, because I respect the laws of physics and realize the dangerous game you play when you drive at what one can consider, great speed. I drive even more precisely because I have respect for the rules of the road and the notion of consequences.
I think the video was a little too Micheal Bay but the message is pretty clear.

Not scared. I just didn't want him to be part of the fun. It's like when you were little and never got invited to other kids' birthday parties.

There there. Who needs a hug?

Did you say, joedirt? I noticed you didn't add the @. Scared? Don't be. He'll be by in a second, and the two of you can get cozy. Let me set the mood with some sweet tunes for your bromance.

All I know is that you can make it through anything with joedirt by your side. He's really been your rock. Though it's too bad he gave you AIDS.

That was the last straw for poor @rottenseed. Who could blame him? He was your shelter from the storm after @NetRunner broke your heart, and look how you repaid his love. @dystopianfuturetoday warned you this would happen at your AA meetings, but would you listen? Always have to do things YOUR way, don't you? And to think @gwiz665 used to look up to you. No wonder he ran away and joined the circus with @Fusionaut.

What the fuck happened? @Issykitty was a good mom except for when she disappeared for weeks at a time after raves, wasn't she?

@Duckman33, @MarineGunrock, and @wolfie had something to do with all that shit too.

In reply to this comment by blankfist:
Nope. It's back up with all the monkey cum I've been gurgling these days. At least that's what the man behind the 7-11 said it was.

I thought that would cheer you up, what with your T cell count being so low and all these days.

Corporations and 'market forces' are how we got here. I know that by admitting that, you'd have to tear down your entire belief system and start over from scratch, and that's a lot to ask of anyone. I've got no problems attempting to treat the numerous symptoms, but this kind of shit is going to continue as long as big business is in the drivers seat.

In reply to this comment by blankfist:
Who said anything about them being the "brainchild" of Obama? You're stuck in that fallacious bipartisan thinking. Just because I've got a beef with Obama doesn't mean I an absolving Bush of his atrocities. But he's not "in charge" anymore, so to insinuate that these porno-scanners are in place now because of Bush's Administration is a fallacious and disingenuous argument. Let's go over the finer points:

First, the TSA today is under the purview of the Obama Administration, so anything it does is the fault of that administration. Period. The chain of command works like this: TSA > Department of Homeland Security (DHS) > Janet Napolitano > Obama. When Obama is no longer the president, then the TSA will be the responsibility of the new Administration... and so on.

Second, more porno-scanners are being added under Obama.

Third, the "enhanced security procedures" are being added under Obama. This includes touching of groins and the added frequency of the porno-scanners.

Fourth, Obama even admits the buck stops with him.

Lastly, Obama ran on a platform of "change". That change was meant to "correct" the ills of the previous administration, including the Bush Doctrine, FISA, the Patriot Act, and domestically the DHS. It hasn't been corrected. It's gotten worse.

Sorry if you confused my unapologetic charges against Obama as something else, but he's a terrible, terrible, terrible President, and I'm not about to cower into submission when discussing his political failures. Throwing corporations and "markets" into the mix is a straw man of epic proportions.

These things were not the brainchild of Obama, and for you to imply they were is dishonest. If you want to talk about corruption, and Obama getting cozy with scanner CEO's, I'm down with that. My big problem with you is that you are either unwilling or unable to see these same corrupting market forces in your own ideology. Over the last few decades of deregulation and increased market influence over our politics, things have only gotten worse. Markets have proven that they are neither efficient or just, and they have zero to do with liberty.

I have been dealing in facts. In no way did I mean to imply these scanners were his brainchild. I'm not even sure that's relevant to anything. My point is simple: currently, the TSA is under the Obama Administration, and these pat down procedures and recent additions of more porno-scanners has happened under his rule.

Therefore. He. is. Responsible.

Pointing out anything Bush has done is disingenuous because Obama ran on a platform of "change", so shouldn't he be "changing" the Bush policies instead of worsening them? Or are you okay with his lies as long as people like me aren't here to rub your nose in it?
