There’s been an increase in activity on neighboring, even connecting faults recently here on the southern end of the Cascadia. We don’t know enough to know if they’re precursors to a “big one” or unconnected.

I like that they included the native story, but find it odd they don’t mention Seattle, Portland, or any other coastal cities that would be decimated by a 9.0 along the Cascadia fault.

This came close to happening 1941, but the attack on Pearl Harbor put the kibosh to the idea of Cascadia.

Sounds ok, but I would prefer all of California, not just the far north where I am (and that's part of the cascadia fault zone). Also, is Canada OK with part of BC leaving? That seems like another fly in the ointment to me, but I would welcome them.

Interesting article about the Cascadia subduction zone.

The people in LA that freaked about a 4.5 need to see this, and then either move or get over it.
...and the people from Northern California to Alaska also need to see this, before the Cascadia fault slips. It has the capability to make a 9+, and just offshore enough to make a huge tsunami...and it's overdue too.
