Is This Change?

jake says...

The CFR (Council on Foriegn Relations) is a think tank whos members comprise basically every prominent US politician, central banker and mega corp executives. They have a publication called Foreign Affairs that propagates the kind of thinking they're developing.

Trilateral Commission is much the same with international members spanning different countries in Europe and Asia.

Bilderberg group is secretive to the point of armed guards, people claiming not to have been there/know about it when it is provable that they do, etc. It seems to have many of the same members, however it is more selective than CFR/Trilateral, so probably at the top of the power structure (if there is one).

Combining these three groups, you've got perhaps the most powerful 500 people meeting in secret which are all then connected to the CFR and Trilateral commission. Both are extremely influential groups in the Foreign Policy arena, with the ability to effectively create cases for things like trade agreements that undermine national sovereignty, world food regulation by the WTO, and potentially their goal, a global central world government ruled by them, the most powerful people.. the elite.

As far as I can see it, the CFR in particular is the mouthpiece for this ideology and it happens that Obama's actions seem to fit in quite nicely with it.

I love all the people saying "oooh, those brainwashed liberals won't be able to accept this".

Almost 50% of this clip was Rachel Maddow, who you may be surprised to find out is a favorite of liberals. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a liberal that doesn't share Rachel's concerns about Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Only the most starry-eyed person would have expected Obama to be able to deliver on his "no lobbyists" promise. Personally, I expected it to last a bit past the very first round of people he hired during the transition. That said, I'm less worried about lobbyists working for him per se, as I am about their ability to influence policy. We're a bit early yet to really grade Obama's executive branch on that, but certainly Congress is no less swayed by lobbyists than it used to be.

As for the bit about CFR, meh. It takes a valid concern about too much policy inertia from one administration to the next, and then utterly discredits itself by trying to say it's some shadowy secret society pulling the strings that's to blame.

But hey, at least it's a step in the right direction. Most of what's in here is true, and also things I see as strikes against Obama. Much better than the usual Obama = Hitler tripe.

I've never heard of Bilderberg, Trilateral, and the CFR. Does it really mean anything that they belong to these groups, or is it just the Rainbow Six music in the background that makes it sound threatening?

despite my feelings about alex jones' wingnut positions on the trilateral commission, bilderberg, and the cfr...

i'm upvoting because the essential message the vid infers is, as 'the who' so succinctly put it, 'meet the new boss, same as the old boss'

here are some legitimate gripes i have with obama and habeus corpus:

http://www.videosift.com/video/Guantanamo-Bagram-Is-there-much-difference
http://www.videosift.com/video/BBC-Investigation-of-Abuse-At-Bagram-Air-Base
http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/04/11/bagram/

imho, the difference between bush and obama is black and white, literally... although obama can pronounce 'nuclear' ... i believe that his message of change wasn't much more than to convince the american people and the world that he was some sort of harry potter, who could fix all that was wrong simply with a wave of his big black wand

in reality, and from primarily an international perspective, he's the usa's global apology card, primarily to a western europe both worried and not-a-little-angry with america because 1. it gave them 8 years of gw bush, 2. was the sole remaining superpower in the vacuum left by the ussr's collapse, and was now viewed not as the cold war's 'great balancer' but as a post-cold war threat to both global security and international parity, and 3. through the burgeoning of instant mass communication afforded by the internet, the uneducated and largely impolite rabble of europe and the us were better able to ruffle each other's feathers, both innocently and maliciously

this two-way estrangement between the decades-long, erstwhile allies needed and continues to need to be smoothed over, and what better way than to present the world--at least on the surface--a polar opposite to bush and his ilk... a well-spoken, apparently sincere man of intelligence whose humble platitudes and defacto apologies at least try to serve as a soothing balm to the inflamed passions, old rivalries, petty grievances, and genuine concerns that had long lain dormant during the cold war, but were coaxed back to their previous vigor with the ill breath of the three enumerated items in the previous paragraph, which reput would be: 1. american arrogance, 2. a nascent eu's competitiveness and envy, and 3. the ignorance and polemics of the internet's unwashed masses

so... who 'won't get fooled again?'

I tried, but I can't fix it either -- I think it's the Dead vs. DeadPool thing, the original submitter gets 2 days to fix it before it comes up for community fixage. I'll keep my eye on it, or you should be able to fix it and earn your point then.

Obama Answers Question from Iran

Rotty says...

Let's remember that Obama is Kissinger's boy, who has made it clear that the US must intercede in some fashion: "we may conclude that we must work for regime change in Iran from the outside".

http://www.videosift.com/video/Brzezinski-discusses-intelligent-manipulation-in-Iran

Note that both Brzezinski and Kissinger are members of the Trilateral Commision and the CFR, both operated by the ruling class on this planet
and bent on enslavement of all. Obama, like Bush and his recent predicessors, are owned by those who look at us like farm animals.

Just recently, Obama has proposed turning over MORE power to the Federal Reserve, Which is neither federal nor reserved.
The Fed, who illegally controls our money supply (this is contitutionally Congress' job) will now have total control over bank policies.

This will make future, orchastrated financial collapses, designed for the transfer of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy, even easier.
Truth is, in fact, stranger than fiction. How sad.

I hope all of you who dropped to your knees for Obama when he uttered "change" and "yes we can" eventually wake up.

The Council on Foreign Relations (www.cfr.org), Trilateral Commission (www.trilateral.org), etc, all exist, you can read their reports, magazines and member lists at the website or on Wikipedia.

It's a pity someone other than Alex Jones wasn't behind this, because it contains the names of a lot of the people that play very interesting roles in the geopolitical/finance areas that should be investigated more.

Biden's Warning about "Generated" Crisis to test Obama

NetRunner says...

Biden also talked about how FDR went on TV to talk to the American people during the Great Depression.

He also called Obama the first "clean, articulate" African-American candidate for President.

By this logic, all of Biden's poor choices of words are really Freudian slips about the CFR's orchestration of world events?

FDR had a secret TV network? Jesse Jackson never bathed?

Or...could it mean that the people who wish America harm will generate a crisis to test Obama's response?
