Ice Age is Coming 1978 Science Facts

newtboy says...

Yep. Who you gonna believe? A super smart scientifically minded VP or an actor who played a fictitious 60's sci fi character who "found evidence" of esp, human/plant communication, Ogopogo, aliens landing at Nazca, mummy curses, ghosts, and Stonehenge as a giant magnetic force field that covers Britain....all in season one.
The question itself exposes your irrationality.

Who are you going to believe: Al Gore or Mr. Spock? I think we all know the answer to that question.

I just think it's bizarre behaviour of all involved. As it's happened since birth, she's normalized it, but being programmed to think being recorded is just another weekly chore -like I had to collect and take out the trash- is an alien concept to me.

She has achieved her Warhol Quota though...

EDIT: Her brother Vince is being documented too:

Best ALIEN Remake I have ever seen!

Digitalfiend says...

I took it to be a parody of part 3, given the picture. It's when the dog-alien attacks in the infirmary and corners her against the wall - then realises shes carrying a ... well I won't spoil it in case someone hasn't seen it. Not a great movie but still WAY better than anything that came after. Alien and Aliens will never be topped.

Huh? I'm pretty sure we've seen some version of this shot in every Alien movie that's been made....not including Prometheus.

EDIT: Yep....in part 1 it's that scene, but with the alien and Ripley across the escape ship from each other when it happens (it happened to be on this morning and I watched), but exact same motions. In part 2, it's during the fight between the queen and Ripley in the 'loader'.
I'm not as sure when it's in part 3 and 4...and I'm not willing to watch them again to find out. :-)

Who launched the drone attack against Saudi oil facilities?

wtfcaniuse says...

You made it your fight when the US pulled out of a treaty with Iran. Alienated it's oldest allies while increasing ties with the Saudis, selling them hundreds of billions in military equipment and ignoring blatant assassination and the fact that Saudis were involved in 9/11.

We should not get our self involved with this. Provide information sure but that is all. This is not our fight.

Terminator: Dark Fate - Official Trailer (2019) - Paramount

Well... the cliché is as old as cinema, true, BUT, if there's THE one female badass that truly would behave as such IRL, it would be Post-T2 Sarah Connor, isn't it? Both character (Sarah) AND actress (Linda Hamilton) EARNED the "calmly walk away from explosions" shtick in my book.

The All-time Greatest On-Screen Female Badass #1 & #2 gotta be between Sarah Connor or Ripley from Alien. For me I'd pick Sarah as #1. My jaw dropped so hard seeing the changes of Hamilton from T1 to T2. Freaking amazing.

Sarah Calmer? Wha...?

OK, the calm walking away from large explosions is getting really old.

I'd even bet there is a close up shot of a foot stepping out onto the ground from a car too. Haven't seen that compilation yet.

Got A Problem? Try The Baby-Boomer!

This whole "Baby-Boomer versus Millennial" trend has gotten out of hand.

Baby Boomers and Millennials... Illegal Aliens and conservatives... There's something too familiar about this. As though distracting everyone by sowing division between the generations somehow benefited anyone...

VFX Artist Shows You TRUE POWER of Warships!

Sagemind says...

Way too mush positive enthusiasm for a machine that is purely made to kill people. These human killing machines are brutal in their efficiency. I almost feel like the music should be a sound of dred with a somber tone explanation. Discussing them as entertainment seems wrong to me. Not only that, but this is the decommissioned ship, they didn't even get to the more modern ships which can kill way more people, more accurately, and at greater distances.

Of course, this is all to promote a video game, and they want you excited to buy and play their game, and pump them full of micro-payments. I also know their are people that thrive on guns and killing, but as a human being, to me, this seems very uncomfortable.

No, I'm not anti-video game, just anti-realism in video games and killing people. Give me Aliens and sci-fi, or demons and monsters any day

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Will's Father leaves.

C-note says...

This hits home for me. It is a stereotype that is over hyped and excessively portrayed in the media. The truth is there are fathers that want to be with their kids and cannot due to being alienated. To my knowledge there has only been one movie I can recall that shows the struggle of a father trying to have custody of his kid (Kramer v Kramer 1979). Hollywood needs to put out another film to show what it’s like for a father to try and be involved in his children’s life when a narcissistic mother actively fights to prevent it.

The Ten Things You Should Or Shouldn't Do To Be Happy

It's amazing how many worlds there are on earth. The only lilly pad in the pond. The aliens we're looking for are all right here. Cleverly disguised as humans. One language is all that's needed.

Welcome to the Mos Eisley Cantina. Welcome to the Hotel California. Welcome to the machine. Welcome to OZ. Welcome to Hollywood.

Nice find eric. Phone home dude.

When It Rains In L.A. -- NO ONE GO OUTSIDE.

noims says...

OK. Imagine a giant glowing ball of fire suddenly appears floating, unmoving in the sky. The sky itself changes from the normal grey to a weird alien blue. The brightness burns your eyes. The heat thrown off by the orb compels madness - previously normal people start inexplicably removing layers upon layers of clothing.

It's happened here in Ireland, and it could happen to you too. Unless you're in Glasgow.
