Ahmadinejad on Israel, England and America

billpayer says...

Dude. Your post is about the president of Iran threatening Israel. I countered by pointing out that Israel is constantly threatening all the states it borders, AND has ACTUALLY invaded and bombed. And what are you talking about "why does everyone feel...", we are the only posters having this discussion. Stop playing the victim. Israel is the aggressor. Should I post a video montage of Avigdor Lieberman? Heck I could post an hour long video of Israeli's demanding war. That is my only point. Your video is one sided, my response it to balance it with a greater truth.

Vi Hart: Twelve Tones

speechless says...

You're cute and smart, but this is half an hour long and I don't know if I'm ready to make a commitment like that. I've been hurt before by smooth talkers in the past. It's not you, it's me. I'm just going to bookmark you for now. No hard feelings.

Eddie Huang exposes TED Conference

highdileeho says...

I watched the video because I heard good things about Joe's podcast. The Bro-Speak was more then any reasonably intelligent person can tolerate. But I will say that I know people with his personality, and people generaly hang onto their every word. I get why people find him entertaining, i refer to those people as unfiltered sieves but anyway.

TED talks are about the hour long talk not all the bullshit the speaker has to deal with in order to associate with their very high quality product; which is making himself available for promotion for 8 days, pretty reasonable considering the boost he would recieve by participating. If he dosen't like it then don't be apart of it. My feeling is that he really thought it would be a good move to be associated with the TED brand and got bitter after he broke the pre-arranged agreement. It has nothing to do with "how societies were created" or any other pretentious crap, the guy failed at an attempt to further his career and handled it like a fat spoiled child. Or if I was to describe it like Joe:
....fuckin ....fuckin ....fuckin..... bro
P.S.
VICE is the most poorly produced, amateur hour, broadcast. The topics are extremly myopic and serves special interests groups. in 100 years the entire world will laugh at the ridiculous nature of their product. Like watching a Dio video:

Game of Thrones: Deleted Scene with Loras and Margaery

Yogi says...

That's actually a really sweet scene. It shows how she cares for her brother and understood her husbands relationship with him...but also her desire for power and control. Is it just me, or does everyone else wish Game of Thrones was 2 hours long, and 20 episodes a season? I feel like I'm watching just the highlights of a great story, and it's just frustrating. I know I could read the books but I still can't help thinking they could do this show better.

Half in the Bag: Django Unchained and 2012 Re-cap

Deano says...

My vote for best film I saw this year was Dredd. Proof you can make an engaging, exciting action film which makes sense and has a strong protagonist without it being three hours long.

In the year I decided to return to the cinema I rarely saw anything that was really exciting or elevating. But I was surprised how dull and bloated some of the blockbusters turned out. Prometheus followed by Dark Knight were my main disappointments.

I saw some older films. Salt with Angelina Jolie was surprisingly fun. The Proposition with Guy Pearce is an outstanding Aussie Western which does bring me back to Django - it probably isn't as funny but I'll bet it's more powerful. It even survives having Ray Winstone.

38 End Of The World Movies Supercut

9547bis says...

I just wanted to state the Save The Green Planet is a fucking awesome movie that deserves to be better known. And no, don't expect to guess anything about that movie based on the short clip here.

The Day After is not bad either, if you like watching four hours long movies that are very depressing.

Boeing Dreamliner Assembly In Two Minutes

Yogi says...

>> ^CrushBug:

If you ever get down Seattle way, it is totally worth going North to Everett WA and taking the Boeing plant tour. It is amazing to see how they do it. Book online the day before on their website. Faster and a little cheaper that way.

I was just wondering where I could get a 2 hour long video explaining each step in the process. I guess I have to travel to Everett instead?

Romney debates himself

Januari says...

The video could be two hours long... the thing is if his incredibly waffling and outright 180'ing on issues hasn't made you realize what a flake he is already this video sure isn't going to change your mind....

The War on Drugs Is a Failure

The Lion and the Croc

vpvpvp says...

Or, the croc got so bored he fell asleep. >> ^boblobblaw:

I highly doubt it was drowning either. I think a more plausible explanation would be that the jaguar pierced the top of the croc's skull with its teeth.
>> ^iaui:
I'm not sure that crocodile was drowning ... some crocodiles can stay under water for upwards of two hours, some even longer. Perhaps if it was caught off guard before it could breathe in and prepare for a dive it might drown? Or perhaps the jaguar footage was really over a couple of hours long and it just stood there holding the crocodile underwater that whole time and the editor just didn't want to make us watch that length of film... (:
