So how do you make a costume for a Llama?

No punchline, really.    I have to make a costume for a Llama.   If I pull it off, I'll post a picture.  The show is in a couple of weeks.

For the next two weeks my kids have 4-H Fair to prepare for and participate in.   I'm also planting a flower garden sooooo  I'm not going to post any sifts or mind my channel for the next two weeks.

I'm sure insomnia will have me here late at night though.

Any Dolly llamas? Maybe you could do something with the old Wahl clippers - a poodle topiary trim followed with a beet juice rinse to make it pink. And a rhinestone collar. And nail polish hoofs. I'll stop now.

Just came back from Llama club. And yes, the costume is FOR the Llama to wear My daughter's Llama (leased) has to wear some sort of costume. He did not like being measured.

Rotty, the hat was the first thing we tried. We tried a mexican hat on him a couple of weeks ago. Comedy Ensued. He refuses a hat so...

Those alpacas though are the cutest damn things ever. She should have picked one of those. They're a lot more docile.

All silliness aside, from my limited but long term exposure to two llamas, they are very aware of the predator/prey relationship, determined by the set of our eyes. Eyes in front = predator, eyes on the side = prey. The llamas I know extremely dislike eye contact. You can feed them treats only if you avert your gaze. Hope that helps, and makes sense. Alpacas are much lovelier in disposition, which is probably why they are much more expensive.
