Obama Inauguration Drinking Game
The Inauguration Day 2009 Drinking Game
"Drink Every Time Someone Says:
- “Historic”
- “Monumental”
- “Kennedy”
- “Lincoln”
- “Change” (as a noun)
- “Most anticipated inauguration in history”
- The name of a celebrity who thinks their opinion matters.
Drink Every Time:
- Joe Biden’s hairplugs are awkwardly noticeable.
- You see Oprah crying.
- W glances at his watch.
- You see a mediocre looking chick with political aspirations in the crowd.
- Chris Matthews appears to get a boner.
- You see Obama’s face on a t-shirt.
- A white guy pretends to know the words to a Black Eyed Peas song.
- Keith Olbermann comes off as a smug, pretentious asshole.
- Someone in the crowd passes out.
- You see a bearded hippie.
- Jesse Jackson takes credit for Obama’s campaign.
- A Fox News correspondent speaks in hushed tones with an air of faux patriotism.
Have fun on Tuesday. And don’t blame us when you’ve got a lampshade on your head twenty minutes into the telecast."
So who's drinking?

perfect! I remember when Bush was in office and you'd have to drink whenever he said things like "freedom" and "terrorist"
The only thing is.. What time is the actual swearing in? Cause unfortunately my drinking hours do not begin until evening.
I'm doing the kid thing w/ the event all day tomorrow. Is it wrong to teach kids a drinking game? We could use diet coke?
Hey, maybe they'd pay attention to the event better right? :::no parental flames please::: heheh
I'm sick as a dog, so I'll have to limit my drinking to virgin screwdrivers.
Recipe for certain death. I'm in.

That's why I've been constantly drunk since 9/11. They hate us for our Mai Tais!
And swampgirl: You're a horrible mom.
(Jim! Get your dad a beer, pronto!)
You really need different lists for pundits and for Obama's speech itself.
That list will pretty much serve for the pundits, though you're forgetting:
For Obama's speech:
- Change, used as a verb
- "This was never about me, it has been about you"
- "There are no Red states or Blue states, there are only the United States"
- The theme that this is only the beginning of our work, not the end
- The theme that we must work together to build the America we want
- "Let us"
- "We must"
- "The better angels of our nature"
- "Hope"
Of course, that list will get you outrageously drunk.>> ^kronosposeidon:

Yes Kronos...my quilt is palpable. "Today's lesson kids, Mommy's teaching you a drinking game! Now go get mommy's shot glasses...."
I think am going to skip it. Its easier to take the disappointment later on when you don't build up your expectations about his presidency.

* Prosecuting the financial crimes like 9/11 shorts, Madoff ponzi, Freddie & Fannie toxic derivatives
* Ever rebuilding NOLA and letting people move back home
* Restoring the pension funds stolen by Cheney's energy buddies in Enron scam

Well geez.. we've had what? A couple of heart attacks and a senatorial seizure. That has to count for more than just *one* drink
