Holy Smokes Tr2n is coming
Here it is. A better quality embeddable video would do well here methinks.

Seems like a unnecessary sequel though?.
The director has made commercials for both Halo and Gears of War, the Mad world one specifically. He's listed in IMDB as the director working on a remake of Logan's Run?
The writers are 2 guys from Lost, so the story will make no sense ZING!.
Don't revisit your childhood heroes. I've learned that the hard way several times. Last two times were with Transformers and then Indy.
Next stop Logan's Run right Dag?

Oh man - even though I doubt they could get it right - I'd still like to see a new Logan's Run. I wonder who they'll get to play Peter Ustinov's crazy old cat man? He stole the movie.
As for Tr2n - I think it does need a sequel - mainly as a "look how far we've come" type thing. When Tron was first made- we were just stepping into this current computer age.
My view is basically couldn't they come up with something new and original for once?
Shit make the rest of the 2001 Trilogy films, 2050, 3001 and such.

^ You don't have the nostalgia factor going for you on Tr2n. These were heady days of Atari 2600s and Tron video games in the arcade.
I'm also too young to have any sort of nostalgic attachment to this movie. If Pixar is really involved this could be on a level the original was at the time of it's release. The game (Tron 2.0) by Monolith was fantastic though. Armagetron is also good, clean, multiplayer, light-cycling fun and will run on a calculator...also has some interesting acceleration mechanics and advanced maneuvers, aside from being a tiny free download. Nothing like a cutthroat, 8-person, light-cycle free-for-all.
