I remember you could rent units from places for roughly 100$ CA in Montreal. We used to do that for the Summer.

Put a tent in front of an open fridge, Homer-style.

If the humidity is below 50%, evaporative cooling works really well. You can go buy a swamp cooler, which is pretty much a floor fan that you put water into. Or if you're too cheap you can just sit in front of a regular fan and spray yourself off with water.

Still no AC, but now it's looking like it might get fixed by tomorrow. I'm not a praying man, but... please Jeebus, give me back my cool cool air. Waking up drenched in sweat is totally bogus.

sarzy... im all about evaporative cooling. We use it everyday at work. It's awesome.
