space battleship yamato-classic 70's anime remastered

in 1975 Yoshinobu Nishizaki created a space epic animated series called "space battleship yamato" which was imported to the US in 1978 and english dubbed.over the years the damage and degradation of the series from being converted from 35mm to 16mm.a project began to lovingly restore this classic anime to its original glory and season 1 has been completed.

the US imported series was renamed "star blazers" and quickly became a cult favorite.

i am posting this entire first remastered season for those who may have missed out on this spectacular,groundbreaking anime series.you may recognize the style of animation from such shows as "voltron" or "battle of the planets" but this was their predecessor .

this show is more a revel in nostalgia for me.so for those who walk with me down memory lane or those seeing this show for the first time.....enjoy.

*side note:they have finished the first season of the remake which has far superior animation but stays very true to the original:
