(2001) Originally known in Japan as Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, is an Academy Award winning (for Best Animated Feature) film by the Japanese anime Studio Ghibli, written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Its original Japanese title can be translated as The Spiriting Away of Sen and Chihiro,Sen and the Spiriting Away of Chihiro, or Sen and Chihiro's Spiriting Away.
In the middle of her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl (Chihiro) wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and monsters; where humans, including her family, are changed into animals. Chihiro must find help in this new world,find a way to save her parents, and find her way home.
