Persepolis is a stunning French animated film directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud. It is based on Marjane's autobiographical graphic novel of the same name. The story follows a young girl as she comes of age against the backdrop of the Iranian Revolution. The story ends with Marjane as a 22-year-old expatriate. It won the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
