Nanomandala: A microscopic journey into a mandala

A microscopic (scanning electron microscope) magnification of a sand mandala. This project was a collaboration between Tibetan monks and two professors at UCLA - Victoria Vesna (Dept. of Design and Media Arts) and James Gimezewski (Chemistry and Biochemistry).
