Monster waves wreaked havoc at a Marshall Islands Army base, captured in a terrifying video. A 3-to-4-ft wave burst into the Army's dining hall on Roi-Namur island, causing chaos as people were knocked off their feet. The video shows the power outage in darkness as individuals struggle for safety. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and Erik D. Hanson attributes the freak waves to a combination of wind, tides, and swell direction from an offshore storm. The U.S. Army confirmed significant flooding, leading to the evacuation of non-mission personnel. While neighboring islands reported moderate damage, no deaths were reported at Roi-Namur.
