MD 80-what happens when you land hard. REALLY hard.

from youtube comment: It's NOT an airline or wind shear. It was a part of the certification test. This was fuselage #909; test AC to certify the type MD-80. FAA pilot was flying at the time. The crew knew it was a hard landing, but didn't realize how hard until they opened the cockpit door and saw the runway out the aft cabin door.

I worked there at the time as a mechanical engineer. I remember this. Things like this and worse happen during certification.
