Covid Scientist Arrested For Honest Evaluation Of Florida

Agents with guns drawn raided the home of a former Florida data scientist who helped track Covid cases. Now a GOP attorney appointed by Governor DeSantis has resigned in protest, saying the raid was meant to "intimidate." The scientist targeted in that raid, Rebekah Jones, had been fired for refusing to fake lower Covid numbers at the direction of DeSantis, who is suspected of being behind the armed raid of her home. She is accused of using the emergency communication network to goad government scientists into telling the truth, but the single user name and password shared by everyone who's authorized to use the system are public knowledge and so far there's nothing to connect her to the message sent.
