Bobbie Wygant's Empire Strikes Back Special

"Lost Empire Strikes Back Cast Interview of the Day: A rare collection of The Empire Strikes Back cast interviews, featuring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, David Prowse, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams has finally surfaced on the web.

The interviews came from the archive of reporter Bobbie Wygant, who talked to the cast at a 1980 press junket at 20th Century Fox Studios.

Wygant and the cast are very careful not to reveal the secret relationship between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, which was about to shock audiences.

In hindsight, some of the comments about possible Star Wars prequels are unintentionally funny. Mark Hamill suggests that his newborn son could eventually play “an eight-year old Luke running around in the background” of Episode III, and interviewer Wygand points out that, with all nine chapters of the Star Wars saga, the movies could be filming until 2001.
