Benny Urquidez vs Katsuyuki Suzuki (Aug 1977)

Benny Urquidez' official record is 58-0-0 with 49 KOs. There are 3 controversial NCs on his record which some claim should be losses. Either way, Benny is arguably the best fighter in history, having retained Six World Championships in five weight divisions for 24 consecutive years. He is the longest reigning World Champion of all Professional Sports in history.

This match was Benny's first in Japan and first under the WKA rules. As a result of his victory here, the undefeated Kunimatsu Okau came out of retirement to face him in November, only to be knocked out in the 4th round. The Japanese would later try to justify this blow to their pride by claiming Benny was half Japanese.
