I like them. Your link was to the wrong queue, that's all. Great music. I'm getting more and more into that sparse acoustic arrangement stuff. There was a time and place for progressive and arena rock. Now it's root music. That's where it's at. Like your country "gothic" theme. Excellent.

Too Harsh? Should I change it? I really like them and they seem to be wonderful songwriters in their own right, but it's undeniable.

Yeah, you fail as a pimp, but succeed as a critic. I'll be looking for more of them. Had your boat out?

A little hard to see, but she's decked out in waders and fly fishing gear. As a fly fisherman, it makes me want to wade right in.

Yo! Your ICON Chicka is YUMMY!! German Chocolate cake is YUMMY!! And, that which must ALSO be included in the YUMMY dimension is ... O.K., so in certain altered mental states the continuum of thought has a maximum duration of around 5 seconds. It has, by various and sundry collections of altered/expanded minds, been labeled the "Five Second Rule"!! This rule can be invoked ... Damn! I forget what I was writing about ... (5 Sec Rule!~)

Yeah, that's writing of the highest order. I write songs, but I'm much stronger with melody than with lyrics. So, my passable stuff is instrumental. While not as visceral as Elliot Smith, I've always enjoyed David Wilcox's intelligent lyrics.

His CD "Big Horizon" has some really neat metaphorical lyrics. As he says, "all my songs are just a tune wrapped in a big metaphor. I can't help it, they just jump on me."

If I could really write music, I'd be happy to write something like this...

That's me, but clowning around at the ripe age of 18. I had to crop the whole picture so you lose the whole effect, but my friend had a 1940s Chrysler, and he lived on an old southern plantation. We posed with the props and shot in black and white for vintage look.
Now I wear hats to keep the sun off that thin section.

"I think saying one political sphere is better then another is rather silly, each persons political stance is highly nuanced beyond simply labels such as democrat, republican, liberal or conservative."

*clap clap clap*
That should be framed and mounted on every wall. It would be nice to throw the terms "liberal" and "conservative" in the trash and start over with something more descriptive. Each now implies a very stereotypical political view. Almost everyone I know falls into the highly nuanced category.

Thanks,
Hey, now you're a promoter. I hated those guys (aka, booking agents) when I was a musician. Crookedist bunch of people on the planet.

And, you're out of OR uniform. I just came in for my night shift. I got halfway to the hospital and realized I was still in my sandals with no socks. Folks are going to have a casual snoozedoctor tonight.

Amen,
I can take opposing points of view, but I can't stand when people ASSUME points of view and ascribe them to groups of individuals, i.e. "all conservatives think alike, all religious people are nuts, etc." It's bigoted, and it should be rebuffed. Damn the liberals and conservatives alike that write groups off like that. That is the REAL threat to society. At some point you have to face the fact that not everyone thinks like you and compromises are necessary to get along. It's how politics really works. It's how marriage really works. Say...that reminds me, I need to go put the toilet seat down.

"F'n politics. And the religion too. And the damn Camps."

Yeah well, if I could just get a post sifted. My p-queue is now half of my sifts. I don't think the lefty's I've chastised have taken it too well. No more upvotes coming from that camp. I can deal.
