It's a style thing I guess. If your post said "Fox Banned Affiliates From Airing This Segment after 2001" then it wouldn't bother me. Calling it "Banned" with no qualification implies external censorship, like if the government has told FOX or the production company whether it can be aired.

I know it's semantically accurate to say it's banned, it just makes the wrong implication, imho. I think sarcasm and hyperbole have encroached on everyday dialogue to the point where people pay less attention to tone and implication than they did 200 years ago. It's not effective communication to say this is banned, it's just you marketing your video. Maybe it's time for me to grow a beard and go live in the woods, because until they put ads in the moon, at least in the woods there's no ads in your face.

Granted, a VS comment thread is not a comedy club, but people are always having to hear humor that is particularly offensive to them. You seem a bit insensitive to people with herpes, for example. Yes it's a racist thing to say, but the guy in the video is clearly a hypocritical, racist piece of crap, while Dystopian was pretty obviously making a joke. Funny that an aspiring stand-up would miss a point so broadly made.
