Yes, alas, Farm Frenzy and its offshoots are one of my favorite ways to procrastinate from various reading and writing assignments.
LOL.

My wife can't get enough of those kinds of games.
By the way, what do you translate?

The *quality was well-deserved. Although I kind of feel your pain and then again I kind of don't
I took a brief stint in English A1 (supposedly for native speakers, mostly World-lit analysis) course as a part of IBO diploma programme. It included Lermontov, 1984, Ancient Mariner, Kafka etc. etc. etc. Decided it wasn't for me, but that's mostly because other group members were even less-qualified to pass as native speakers than I was and also I simply had already read most of what was on the mandatory reading list.
Still, English is my life-long mistress. No wonder I'm 'moonlighting' as a translator/interpreter now.
*edit - I looked below and were you really playing Farm Frenzy?

Thanks! I still read Pooh and Catcher every once in a while, even though the first time I read both was probably because I was assigned them in class (read: English major). Interestingly enough all but a couple of the books on my list were ones I have read for leisure in-between classes. I guess that says a lot.

oh and what the hell, anything that helps me exercise some healthy verbal diarrhea is *quality

How about affiliating with a games blog, like we do with Neatorama, et. al? JayIsGames has some good stuff going on.
Kongregate is one of my favorites.
Also, off topic: I love blahpook's avatar.

Thank you!!! I think her voice is awesome, in part because it's a little odd.

Yeah they're opening here in VA for Kings of Leon. Looks to be a good show.

They are great live. For the next week or two they're in the u.k. and they start their north american tour mid-april.

Meant in jest, mostly to poke fun at her over-the-top tactics to use her sex as a means of garnering political support. I personally wish she would stop speaking for all of us females as though we all thought the same. What makes it worse is that her constantly drawing attention to non-issues in "hockey mom" terms (like saying that Katie Couric "annoyed" her instead of owning up) makes her sound like a 'typical' woman, distraught, emotional, dumb, and in need of rescuing. BARF. It really makes me ill.
In reply to this comment by doogle:
I object to the sexist title.
For serious.

Sorry took so long to get back to you - yeah this is vocalized by Fountains of Wayne though eventually all the actors learned how to play as well.
In reply to this comment by gourmetemu:
Wasn't this written by the Stacy's Mom guys? I suppose I could look it up but that would involve clicking and such.

I've heard! This made me want to read the series, which I never had the privilege to. Especially when I heard that people were complaining that the movie was too "nice" in its depiction of religious authority. Interesting.
In reply to this comment by HaricotVert:
This battle is so much more amazing in the book.

^ Indeed, now that I think of it, I also dream of sexy flying witches every other night. Got me to upvote

I agree. She deserves way more credit than the small group off the street the Today Show must have pulled in to watch her sing.

I heard this track on the radio when it first came out and I bought the album almost immediately - what an excellent piece of work! That lame ass clapping at the end is pathetic though... flogging one's album on morning TV shows is a pretty humiliating end of the business I think. I'd strongly recommend all of her stuff.
