I am fed up of little clips of simpsons/familyguy etc etc. Watching these clips out of context of the whole episode is not funny. If I have seen them before it's not funny. I know they exist, i don't need the sift to find them for me, i got bit torrent. These clips shoot into the top 15 just because they are enormously popular MSM cartoons. It seems to fly in the face of the reason i come here instead of youtube.

I am starting to like the Sifting idea of posting interesting things and seeing who votes on them, it's fun and it means you see clips that i wouldn't bother finding otherwise. I am not even very bitter that stupid inspector gadget flute beatbox guy got more votes than Nathan Flutebox Lee.

But.. simply finding a bit of the simpsons that some other guy clipped and uploaded to youtube, and then getting 67 votes for it, well.... it just seems like cheating.

I know fedquip was also criticised for TDS clips and I think it's fair criticism... on the Sift it is not appropriate to go after the easy wins. On your own blog, do what you like, but i come here because of the variety and the low level of spam. I now consider small clips from cartoons to be spam.

Yeah sure i can just not click on them, or i can earn a star and then go downvote them all, but what would be the point of that?

This site is about finding the gems in the huge pile of crap called the internet. It is an alternative to TV, not a replacement. Is there anything in VS3.0 to prevent this race to post the latest TDS/Southpark/etcetc before someone else shouts "dupe!!"? Do we need the Sift to find clips of the simpsons for us?
