Help me hack the admin password on my PC

OK, so here is the story.

My wife used to do some transcription work for a company.
Upon starting the job, they supplied us with a computer - all set up and ready with all the needed programs and such.
We paid for the computer - all rent to own type of thing.

So now, many years later, my wife hasn't worked for them in over 4 years and she recently got a new computer.
So I've taken the old one, added new RAM and basically was getting it ready for one of my kids to use. It runs great and is much faster than it ever was.

I figured I would run the system restore program and re-instate it to it's regular factory settings.
(Win XP Pro - HP Compaq - Install files on a partition of the hard drive )

So I did! And it went flawlessly.
Except for one thing... As I booted it up, it goes to the windows log-in screen and wants passwords to access it.
I guess what has happened is the company went in an frigged with the install files.

I remember back when we got it (vaguely) that we had to input a code that came with the instruction sheets my wife needed to get started working for this company. I have all the "computer discs and documents" that came with the computer but my wife has long thrown out her papers on starting with her new company (it's been maybe 7 years). We then changed the user password to something else and never looked back.

The admin user/password doesn't even show/come up unless I'm in safe mode - then I can access it - or at least see where to enter the user&pw - If I knew what they were.

Now I want into our computer and we are locked out!
I tried a program called "OPHCrack" which is all over the internet as being a great tool - but it failed to get me in.

I need some suggestions. This is a silly thing but the computer is mine - I have full rights to use it and I am getting frustrated!

Help me Obi Wan - you're my only help!
