So I've been watching clips and reading a bit about this economic crisis we are (or will be) facing within no time. I'm actually starting to get scared...truly concerned for my country's financial health.

Question: How much of this ordeal is just media sensationalism for ratings and/or a diversion by candidates to make themselves look heroic?
