Crazy Martial Arts "Tricking" Competition
When I read "tricking" I automatically thought advanced feints - how wrong I was. It's really just gymnastics with an occasional kick.
In any sort of fighting martial arts, flips, which inherently turn you upside down with your back to your opponent, equals a fast lesson in how hard the floor is.
10 Year Old Talking Backwards Fluently
There was a girl in my class that could do that. She could also write backwards, and upside down in longhand.
Ex could write with both hands simultaneously one forward , one backward...In longhand. Yeah. It's bizarre how brains become oriented to environment and the skills we choose to nurture.
Nobody is getting into these shorts
Seems to me a good rape deterrent would be tentacles that slither out from the legbands or waistband when someone attempts to remove the garment in an improper fashion. It would definitely scare the bejeezus out of most people and on the upside I'm sure such an innovation would be a popular selling point in Japan for all the wrong reasons.
911's a Lie-But Who GIves A Fuck ~ Deek Jackson
I find it disappointing that most Americans are comfortable with the lies and corruption, the de-education and the screwing of the economy to keep the majority class subservient. I have no idea how you are ever going to wrestle back control of your own government now that the corporations and the elite run you and your country for you.
On the upside - I love the song and dance - *eats popcorn... Nom Nom Nom
"Cornfield Bomber"
I remember when I was really young, I was ridding down the back yard neighbor's driveway to my grandmother's house, I hit a railroad tie and the bike flipped, and in a panic I dropped while it was upside down only to see the bike land on its wheels and continue on for a short bit... had I stuck with it and it did the same thing it would have been epic, but odds are it would have changed the kinetics and just resulted in more pain.
Dance Performer Handstand Presses 35KG
That's really impressive, but it's more of an upside down squat/leg press than a handstand press (if that is even a term).
I got mad respect for people that develop real functional strength like this though, it takes a lot of dedication and imo is a lot more of a grind than just developing pure strength (i.e. as in powerlifting) because developing the fitness as well requires going through a lot more pain.
Worst Twerk Fail EVER - Girl Catches Fire!
I just did a handstand and simulated falling over.
I think there's no way anybody would keep their arms straight.
Our bodies are extremely wary of letting out bodies slam into the ground, full impact, with our arms as a fulcrum. When we're next to a glass table (!), that instinct is even more pronounced.
Once we're tipping over upside-down, our bodies instinctively crumple to return to the ground and avoid the body slam.
This just adds to the already large number of improbabilities that have to occur in order for this video to be real.
The natural instinct for some is to keep the head as far from the ground as possible. Collapse your arms and do it wrong, you'll end up ramming your noggin into the ground with your whole body behind it.
I've "instinctively" found myself doing both (at different times). Controlled falls hurt a lot less.
Anything Robin Hood could do, she could do in high heels
"And note to self, if I see a girl upside down firing a bow and arrow with her feet . . . I should promptly hide as I'm pretty sure now she won't miss . . . . ."
hadn't thought of that, but---YES---
The deadly footbow ninja
Anything Robin Hood could do, she could do in high heels
Awesome story, but for crying out loud people the DSLR shallow DoF fad is getting old. Half the shots were out of focus and I'm pretty sure it was "artistic intent". Made it hard to pay attention to her story.
And note to self, if I see a girl upside down firing a bow and arrow with her feet . . . I should promptly hide as I'm pretty sure now she won't miss . . . . .
Wavepool Lifeguard Rescue
Water is a dangerous thing.
My brother has been a river guide in denali, colorado, life guard, etc. It is shocking who he has to rescue. Last week he had to save a 6'5" muscular army guy who rolled his kayak on the Chicago river (completely flat). He was pretty much stuck upside down.
There continues to be a big racial divide with learning to swim. I wonder how long that trend will persist.
Normally Attached Girlfriend
I love the wide eye'd "I'm fine" thing with the hand wave or drop. It's more obvious than smacking a dude upside his head.
I gotta say, I pretty much get annoyed by all memes except Laina. I would gladly watch her on a TV show or something.
How to properly exit a freeway
This is fucking ridiculously dangerous.
Spoke to a lad in the gym yesterday who told me that he was in a coma for 6 weeks because he drifted around a corner and hit a parked car.
a) Thank god no one was in the other car
b) His defence was "that's what young lads do."
Well i didn't, and this is a fucking great way to get someone killed. From someone who recently climbed out of a flipped/rolled car due to oil on the road, even when you THINK you know everything, and even if you adhere to the rules of the road, you can still end up upside down in a ditch and lucky not to have died.
Fatal crash Daiton airshow
This happens folk, don't be so pussy about it.
I just feel this was senseless and unnecessary. Flipping a plane upside-down barely 20-30 meters up is daft.
"Next Gen Technology"
That's a great idea! you'd have to hold the controller upside down though (easier for NES than newer ergonomically designed controllers)
I think it'd be more like if playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out if your perspective is from Bald Bull and you're looking at and controlling your own character. That'd be infinitely confusing/difficult.
Plane crash scene from the movie "Flight"
How on earth did she manage to strap that kid back into his seat upside down.
