It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia - Unless You're This Guy
>> ^spoco2:
>> ^Deano:
It is astonishing to me that THIS particular video, from the best standup in the business, has not been sifted.
Really? You don't get why a shitty quality, hard to listen to video of a comic being abusive isn't sifted.
Yours and my definitions of comedy are worlds apart sir... worlds apart.
Wow, guy on the internet realises other people may have different opinions - hold the front page gents!
Yes it's unfortunate the video is not of the highest quality. Sometimes that happens. But context is everything which is why I added that.
He is simply not just being abusive. He's actually being very funny, coming up with spontaneous riffs on the city's sporting culture, insulting them in crude yet creative ways and then throwing in a non sequitur towards the end, which is a staple of comedy.
Everyone who has ever heard this realises what a talent Burr is and an underappreciated one at that. This certainly cemented his growing reputation at the time with standup fans and fellow comedians (this was in 2006, prior to that from 2001-2005 he was as he has put it "killing in obscurity". And every single Burr clip on the sift will prove that.
Now if you don't think Burr is funny, fair enough but please don't get on your high horse when you make a comment.
Herman Cain goes out in style (quotes pokemon again)
Nope, the melody is septatonic (<--music joke) constructed of simple root position triads (C-Am-G-C-B°-Am-G) using every pitch class in C major. >> ^lampishthing:
Whoa, just realized that's a pentatonic riff. Damn those things are everywhere. #TheBlackKeys

Worst Music Video Ever Made. Well, At Least This Year.
Intense guitar riff.

Course Kashmir was a ripoff song also as explained by Jimmy Page, he took the guitar riff from another song
course most all of Led Zeppelin's songs are like that, which they've been accused for over the years, brief mentions on wikipedia, but Jimmy Page on the latest documentary "It Might Get Loud" admits to ripping off the guitar riff from another song for Kashmir
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODidAgdL40Y
Um... he didn't 'rip off the riff'... he took a part of another of HIS songs and used it. Musicians do that all the time. Swan song was an unreleased track, and the tape he was talking about was HIM playing.
Geeze... if you're going to accuse people of ripping off music, accuse the right people for the right songs!

Herman Cain suffers major brain meltdown on Libya topic
What's hilarious about this is when he asks the reporter to repeat the question but this time giving him some specific information he can riff about.
The guy does not have a clue what he's talking about and we all know it. He might as well say "I wanna be President! Obama is poo! I don't like him!"
Layla - Eric Clapton and Wynton Marsalis
The older he gets, the slower Layla gets, the worse the song gets.
The old version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GQNa50V-HQ was much, much better. The guitar riff kicks ass, not like this sleepy lullabye version.
"Need Your Love So Bad" - Grandma Mary (Aged 73)
Up vote for first riff.

Rifftrax - Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Sample
Let me do the honours then.
Riff Trax and MST3000 are simply the lowest form of comedy, every now and then there's a minor piece of amusement but mostly they are just terribly unfunny.

this video is.. its neither funny nor witty or anything.. , the movie was great tho .. especially the music
I dunno, the nail salon quip contained some wit, I think. And the huh? huh? huh? scene was funny.
Anyway, when you sift some vids of your own, you'll be able to downvote.
Brent Butt - Fabio Taking a Goose to the Face
Man he really milks this one riff for a lot of laughs. Well done.
Ween Live - Ocean Man - from Spongebob Squarepants Movie
>> ^acidSpine:
The main riff is played on a mandolin and the song's from The Mollusk (your title suggests it was written for the movie which I don't think it was)
OK cool, didnt now that. I like it.

BeautifulPeople.com hacked by Shrek, accepted ugly people.
wow, their website is quite humorous, a big photo on the front page of a bunch of airheads. One of their "benefits"
