Disguised man boards Air Canada:Caucasian To Asian
the asian guy was the old guy in disguise, who, in turn, was a middle aged hispanic woman named Rita.
The Size of Your Gun Matters
Art. Capital A art. And for those of you who care to know, I'm 6 10th's the white guy exterior bravado and 8 10ths the asian guy's disappointment and 100% the kick ass lady.
Top 40 Violin
Well color me confused then. The Asia channel has the optical illusion video, but as to why that is more Asian than an actual Asian guy is beyond me. There isn't even any speaking in that video. Maybe it's because presumably there is an Asian hand in that one? Are all optical illusions quintessentially Asian? Help me out...
Top 40 Violin
*nochannel *music
A violin does not classical music make. And an Asian guy doesn't put this in the Asia channel, either.
Black guy tries to rob Asian guy. Street justice follows.

How hard would it be to remove the racial terms?
"Street punk tries to rob BART passenger. Street justice follows."
Race is a description. Any connotation is in your mind.
Fair enough.

Asian Chick's Awesome Hand Ninja
I believe the correct term is "oriental".>> ^shagen454:
and ask, "where is the asian guy?" I thought it inoffensive enough ; just trying to make the situation less awkward and this kid responds, "what?" and I repeated and he replied "He's Korean." I didn't really give a shit to get into an argument about it considering Korea or South Korea is specified as East Asia. Did I really make a horrible mistake or was this kid just a total dick?

Oh man, the title of this video reminds me of some hipster guy (not that I have anything wrong with "cool" people or whatever label we need to give people who are culturally aware) that pissed me off yesterday. I go to a certain liquor store a couple of times a week and usually there is this korean guy who is the owner working. I went into the liquor store, see this young white kid working the register that I've never seen before. He was kind of awkward in the way that he was overly conscious that he was working in a shitty liquor store - so as he is bagging up my beer I try to make small talk and ask, "where is the asian guy?" I thought it inoffensive enough ; just trying to make the situation less awkward and this kid responds, "what?" and I repeated and he replied "He's Korean." Kid was probably just feeling awkward and blurted out the first thing he thought.
A mediocre translation attempt for anyone who cares :
"How do you do. I would like to show you taekwondo [debatable she does that bit super fast]
"Ready?" [Fighting sounds]
"One more time" [Fighting sounds]
"You also do Taekwondo" [Fighting sounds]
"You too do Taekwondo" [Fighting sounds]
"Then... "
[Counting one to ten while doing press ups]
"Could someone please give me some help?"
Second hand "What would you like me to do?"
"This ____ please" [Couldn't make out the verb ~_~. Could be "hold"]
"Certainly sir"
[More counting]
"Now, are you feeling well?"
"Now, in a moment the champion will arrive" [yay for konglish]
"So, champion has won the belt. What move did you do to win the champions belt?"
Second Hand: "What move did I do?"
"Yup" [Champion hand attacks Sansaengnim hand]
"No, no stop!!"
Second hand: "Cobra Twist!"
[After many listens the only word I can make out is "Animal", Doesn't seem to be a grammatical sentence as it has a noun at the end. so I'm gonna guess "Now I will fight this animal" :-/]
"No no, stop it"
Monster Hand: "Farewell"
Anyway, the language is Korean and the hand dude is supposed to be a taekwondo instructer rather than a karate sensei if you wanna add a tag. Taekwondo doesn't get much love.
As the grumpy hipster said to the shagen454 "[s]He's Korean"

Haha, Its funny cos the Robber is Black, and thats what Black people do, and the Asian guy kicks his arse because all those Asian dudes know Kung-Fu and shit. Black dude really should know better not to rob Asian dude.
Maybe I am oversensitive or some shit, but I really can't upvote a video with a title like that.
And Jinx what would you have called the vid?

Does every video with a brit HAVE to be tagged British? (British Talk Post)
ant had labeled a video (http://www.videosift.com/video/LOLrio-Kart-45mph-shopping-cart) #asia a while ago because there's an asian guy in it. I posed the following question: if there was an #africa channel, would you put every video with a black person in it?
There was nothing asian about the video. It takes place in Massachusetts. There was no element of asian culture. That the guy in the cart is asian has no impact on the video.
The Ricky Gervais example above, however, I feel is a bit different. Ricky is a celebrity and being british is a significant part of his fame. Ask yourself, if someone is browsing #british, is this likely to be what they're looking for? I'd say yes, there's a good chance this is the kind of thing they're looking for. On the other hand, if someone is browsing #asia, I'd say it's more likely they're looking for anime, martial arts, asian music, Issy's recipes, incredibly stupid game shows or some really fucked up porn.
UP's comment is also right on the money. #Femme should be a channel to be proud of. Women artists, athletes, visionaries, leaders... women's issues: abortion, rape, equality, feminism, suffrage. http://femme.videosift.com/video/Age-Old-Myth-Tested-The-Old-Carrot-On-The-Stick does not need to be in femme.

BBC and Attenborough are British
I don't understand why you guys label videos like this as British. Yes, both the channel and the presenter are British, but the video is not about Britain, or the British, or plants from Britain. If a National geographic documentary was narrated by an asian guy, would you add the * asia label?
It does not matter that much to me though, I am just saying.
