Election Fraud Lawsuit? Is This Real?

LiquidDrift says...

Lol, nothing in this video is convincing, certainly not the 'anchor', or the lawyer making the fraud claims.

I'll trust Nate Silver over some idiot shouting on the internet, here's his take:

http://fivethirtyeight.com/live-blog/new-york-primary-presidential-election-2016/

"If Clinton significantly outperforms exit polls showing a close race tonight and wins by a fairly comfortable margin instead, will it be part of a broader pattern? Not really. We’ve been keeping track of how Clinton’s and Sanders’s actual results have compared to initial exit polls, and the differences have been pretty random over the course of the campaign.

With that said, sometimes a candidate whose supporters are more enthusiastic can be overrated by exit polls because of response bias — this was sometimes an issue for Obama during the 2008 campaign, and it’s plausible we could see something parallel happening with Sanders. Furthermore, pre-election polls showed a wider lead for Clinton than the exit polls did, and it’s usually worth taking a blend of exit polls and pre-election polls even when you have exit polls in hand."

Romney Cheerleaders: Living In An Alternate Reality?

VoodooV says...

I think that's part of what happened. I think democrats thought the same thing back in 2004 with Kerry v Bush. They couldn't conceive that Bush would remain elected so they didn't bother to vote.

I think the main thing though is just the implosion of the Republican party. They've gone so far far far right that they're losing moderate republicans.

The most delicious part is how Nate Silver got lambasted as a political pundit by the right even though he correctly predicted every single state of the union race outcome

It just perfectly illustrates the right being so out of touch with reality.

Silver: The data says this
The Right: we don't care! Hey Romney, don't bother writing a concession speech, you won't need it!

PalmliX said:

hmm it makes you wonder if the republican spin machine worked against itself here by making people think they didn't need to vote because Romney had it in the bag.

Least stressful election night ever! Aside from Obama's swing state sweep, Elizabeth Warren was elected and some republican rape apologists got pink slips. Pot was legalized in Colorado and Washington. Gay Marriage in Maine and Maryland.

@dag, Nate was spot on, but the numbers suggest Obama picked up some extra electoral votes somewhere and I can't figure out where. What state did he nab from om-nom-Romneh? (edit: it appears he got all of the states right, but his prediction was 315 electoral votes, instead of 303 or 330. Why the discrepancy?)

What is this strange feeling overcoming me. Hope? Optimism?

Bachmann is still too close to call. Let's all pray to Cthulhu tonight to make her go away from our political system for good. (edit: ah fiddlesitcks
, she won)

I see the anti-government-handout right wing "libertarians" who were looking to get 5% of the vote so that they could get a government handout failed to get more than a single percentage point. Serves those hypocrits right.

Maddow: Romney's Reversal a Disqualifying Character issue

shinyblurry says...

But you didn't tell me why I am wrong; you simply directed me to a poll aggregation website run by Nate Silver who says this in his FAQ:

"My state [Illinois] has non-partisan registration, so I am not registered as anything. I vote for Democratic candidates the majority of the time (though by no means always). This year, I have been a supporter of Barack Obama"

How about you tell me in your own words why I am wrong rather than pointing at what a partisan poll aggregator working for one of the most liberal newspapers in the counrty says?

>> ^volumptuous:

Lame. You are entirely wrong about everything (once again).
Let me enlighten you:

Occupy Wall Street vs. Tea Party

NetRunner says...

>> ^shagen454:

Never forget the way America works. Tea Party protests were covered all over the media, the media never spoke of their tinges with racism and homophobia among many other things including being a sell out corporatist movement. They glorified those FOX fried fanatics.
They ignored the OWS movement from day one because they are not interested in investing in this movement because this movement is a direct threat to them. They made them look like idiotic, homeless, hippy bums. Shame on you.

To amplify this point, Nate Silver did some statistical analysis on this very topic, and found that the data backs up what you're saying.

Basically the OWS people only started getting headlines when they got pepper sprayed and arrested.
