This isn't really a bug, but if any other users are running "lockdown-mode" Firefox like me (AdBlock Plus, Element Hiding Helper, NoScript, Cookie Monster, *and* RequestPolicy) and you don't see the comments section on any video pages, try allowing googleapis.com in both NoScript and RequestPolicy.

Old version of the page would load comments just fine with googleapis.com blocked in RequestPolicy, but it disappeared for me after the update until I made that change.

That combination of plugins for Firefox is a great way to have a whole lot of control over how much extra cruft a page can serve up to you, but I must admit it makes any first visit to a new site or domain a real bitch. Sometimes I just give up and fire up Chrome.

You're certainly aware of how effective this is at painting the rest of your argument as the same kind of "us-vs-them" garbage (regardless of its merits) so it comes across as so much chest-puffing and strutting about. Firefox 3.5 has been a pain for me since I upgraded. I figured it might be my ancient cruft-filled profile, so did a complete reinstall of it and my plugins, and it's getting along much better now.

There's no reason *invocations have to go if buttons are added but I'm pretty indifferent on this suggestion.

I do think it would be nice to squish siftbot's comments, like so.

Get rid of all that extra cruft that takes up so much vertical space. The majority of it isn't even of any use (voting, comment history, quote, profile reply, spam, ignore) on siftbot.

Theres a woman who does this same thing every year at Crufts. She sometimes has two dogs performing at the same time.
