While, tonights been a bizzar but helpful distraction from the fact I've got minor surgery tomorrow, so I may not be around for a while. I'm sure I'll be fine, but I might miss a requeue or 2. Dont burn this place down without me. I haven't even been to Burning Man yet, and that would be just too unfair.

Ok, so I haven't played any of the SC series (ok, a few times on a friends system, and that dosen't count) but for the love of nerds, *WTF is this!

On a different note, ran across this on uk education and the top quote "Coursework in religious studies GCSEs has been scrapped because of concerns children are being left to study "sensitive" topics unsupervised." gave me chills.

Maybe next year, things will start to get a bit more sane.

Armadillo Aerospace is something I've been following for many years now. Their (and other ammeter rocket groups) existence makes me happy. There's a few vids on the sift, and lots of media on their site.

This is their first "back to work" update post since the X-prize cup, so it's good to see for that reason.

Appropriately enough, I'm re-reading Rocket Ship Galileo by Robert Heinlein.
