spoco2Gimme gimme gimme.
Bioshock is still my favourite gaming experience. I am just now playing Bioshock 2.
This may be my reason to finally upgrade my 5 year old pc. It's been able to continue to play the few games I throw at it, but this might finally break it!
DeanoOdd that they couldn't get this released for the Xmas rush.
ChaosEngineI loved the aesthetic of Bioshock, but the gameplay just never really worked for me. I passed on Bioshock 2 and this looks like pretty much more of the same.
That said, upvote for the excellent music!

Not the lyrics, the music itself). I thought Bioshock's setting, atmosphere and story where great. Gameplay was pretty poor. Bioshock 2 wasn't any better and felt simply rehashing the original.

Agreed (Although I thought this music felt massively out of place in this trailer
Bioshock Infinite, however, looks to play a lot better than the first and am really looking forward to it. However, no Stephen Russell doing main character's voice anymore? Boooooooo!

Publishers are slowly (thankfully) recognizing that the Christmas-rush is bullshit. More are waiting until just after Christmas when they don't have to compete with the Xmas-game hype, and gamers have already blazed through the holiday offerings and are looking for something for the new year.
I have always bought less games around Christmas simply because of the over-saturation. I'll pick one (maybe) and wait to see how the others fare and get them when they're prices drop, if at all. I get frustrated at the complete lack of new games in the summer seasons too, so I'm happy more releases are spreading out.
And this looks like it will be around the same level of quality of the original. Great atmosphere and amazing visualization, but tired and overly-scripted gameplay. The character animation, though, looks particularly horrible, which is a bummer.
hpqpWho said videogames weren't an *art?

probieSystem Shock 2 is my #2 game of all time (only beaten by the original Half-Life) so when Bioshock came out, I was really psyched that I'd get to return to that FPS/RPG style of gameplay. I thought they did a lot of things great in Bioshock (the art style, the graphics, the story, the physics and mechanics of the gameplay), it's always the things that didn't make sense to me that stick in my mind first whenever anyone brings it up. Vending machines that sell ammunition? (That never made much sense to me in SS2 either.) Psychic abilities that summon......bees? They're little things, but it's always stuff like this that breaks the immersion for me. Anyone else like that?

Actually you'd be surprised, they are still designing this for the same console that ran Bioshock 1 so they can't exactly push the polygons or textures any more than they did on the first game.
zaustSong sounds like a bad Dead Weather song - turns out it's "Nico Vega".
They should have got the Dead Weather.

No way. Fuck that noise.

RFlaggNot sure if I hear Dead Weather, they seem to have a more experimental sound... and have Jack White which equals win, though I prefer the singer in Nico Vega, and I think this song fits the game better than Dead Weather. Shamelss self promote of the song: http://videosift.com/video/Nico-Vega-Beast-Live-On-Fearless-Music
