CrushBugsays...Wow, I did a report on the Magnus effect back in elementary school, probably around grade 5 or 6. I don't think I have ever heard of it between now and then.
Stormsingersays...Amazing model, but I'm having a really hard time getting my head around how altitude can be controlled. I think the lift produced by the rotary wing would vary with airspeed, but that seems an awfully crude control mechanism.
newtboysays...It also gains a little lift at full throttle since the prop angles upwards.
