Wynton Marsalis - Carnival of Venice (theme and variations)

Back when Wynton Marsalis played primarily classical, he was one of the greatest trumpet virtuosos in the world. This is a fairly old video of him playing the Carnival of Venice (also known by the folk tune "My hat, it has three corners") arranged by Jean-Baptiste Arban. The Carnival of Venice is one of the hardest theme & variation works in the trumpet/cornet repertoire, and requires mastery of almost every facet of the instrument, especially articulation, fingering, range, and tone.

Marsalis was known for being able to play this piece flawlessly while still maintaining an incredible sound and changing the final Cadenza from performance to performance.
