World's first colour moving pictures discovered!

Want to see colour film shot 110 years ago? That's what has been now been restored and displayed by the British National Media Museum.

They've had this film in their collection for 75 years, but to the eye it's just a black and white film. It's only when you run every third frame through a blue green or red filter that you get back out the colour image. This is called the Turner process, and they had to transfer the non-standard film onto 35mm, then scan into a computer to recreate the process by which it would have been originally played back

It's amazing to look back through time and see these images.
