"daubing other peoples walls, is a crime"

daub/dawb/v. (daubed, daubing, daubed)to put or spread a semi-liquid substance,e.g., mud, paint,or cream, on a surface, in a crude, hurried, or irregular way.-vti. (painting)PAINT CRUDELY-to paint or apply paint crudely or inexpertly.

Looks ta' me this feller is a few notches above simple daubing....just another way for the brits to pretend that they are God's semantic gift to the anglo world!!!...

you don't hear Uzbecs using such poncy verbiage!!!

I think his artwork is awesome and at times provocative of the mordern urban climate we live in. It's satirical and very tongue in cheek, but it does make you think about alot of things you normally wouldn't have thought of. His guerrilla tactics are admirably as well, being as I did graffiti in Q8 and nearly came close to getting caught myself, one can really relate...

And what you saying about the Uzbeks? Am actually astounded at our new found cultural popularity especially with the Borat movie, Southpark, Snatch and others... Borat was the funniest, he kept cursing out our country, which in reality is the case, there is a large dispute between both countries Presidents, it once came to blows and both borders were shut off. Hurting both economies, its stupid but what can one do?

Good clip Farhad. I love this guy and I'm pretty sure I've never disliked any of the work he's done.

It's a shame we live in a world where he has to dodge the authorities. I'd love to watch an interview with the bloke.

....graffiti looks to me like a manifestation of frustrated expression by a poorer segment of a society, whose avenue of representation in that society is unavailable, or unapproachable-

it's a symtom of a situation, formed with images and words, in a public forum....

and a great way to supplement the cost of painting the vessels of public transportation, public walls, etc. Simply create a venue for these paint-huffin' up an comers!

I love graffiti, perhaps its evidence that we are moving closer to another paradigm for the Whooooooooole world!

people like to have their ideas and creativity noticed, especially when they feel they have something valuable to add to the conversation. and often not because they want credit, but just because they want to participate in society in a meaningful way.
