What can happen to you when you live near train tracks

We stayed in a campground in the States, I can't remember where. We didn't know that there were tracks just past the row of trees, just behind our trailer.

The trains only ran after midnight. That was a wake up call.

I wonder if people's hearings got worse from all that. I wonder how much it costs to live there too.
