Most people work at McDonalds because they hire unskilled labor and it's only a temporary job until you move on to something else. The very few who might want to make a career out of working McDs would probably not be a twenty year employee flipping burgers for $7/hour. Most likely they'd be promoted, even manage, and maybe some day become Mayor McCheese.
