Here's a new international trailer, with a smidgen of new footage that wasn't in all the other trailers.

How can this movie be good when Alan Moore has no input in the film and the movie makers are approaching it like it's yet another Frank Miller graphic novel?

Yeah, just like V for Vendetta. Moore's absence completely ruined that movie.

If you want to make a movie (like V) with characters, plot, and themes completely different from Moore's comic books, then no shit, you don't need Moore's involvement.

The marketing for Watchmen wants you to think that this is a proper adaptation of the comic. So yeah, you tell me how they're going to make a good adaptation of Moore's vision in a 2 and 1/2 hour movie without his input.

Just because Moore is good a comics doesn't say anything for his movie making ability. Look at the Spirit.

I honestly don't care who's involved in this, the result will speak for itself.

Look at the spirit what? Last time I checked Will Esiner's dead and it's Frank Miller at the helm. How does that compare at all to the Watchmen?

I can only recall one movie adaptation that was as good (if not better) than the original -- Shawshank Redemption. Not that that means much at'll but who cares if it lives up to the original. You get what you want from movies; look for the moments and hold onto 'em. Compare if you dare.
