I see dupe. Video adds no new content.

I think this is a dupe. The original posting has more useful information, and there is no extra functionality. no better angle. No music. I find it distressing to see this on the topsifts. I think if we had the *dupe invocation, so that it would have put a tag next to the video, it never would have gotten this many votes.

I'll be the bad guy if I have to, but maybe we should send this to *discussion first?

It's the same product, but it is technically a different video; I say keep it. If we're going to discard this just because it seems somewhat redundant, where do we draw the line? Are we going to start discarding anti-Hillary videos which add nothing new? Or cute cat/dog/hamster/etc. videos?

well if the hampster is doing different things, then its a different video. Now if this table turned into a man pleasing French whore this go around, then I would say keep it, but as it is the same table doing the same thing, its a dupe.

In cases like this maybe just ask the original poster to post a playlist you made with the original video in front and yours as the secondary video.

Well, I really don't care enough to make a much more passionate argument than this, but it seems to me like a different video = not a dupe, even if the content is almost the same.

My thoughts are that this is a different video on the same subject - certainly plenty of those on the Sift.

I can agree there. But I seriously doubt the 32 people who voted for this video would have done so if they were aware of the originals. I LOVE the table, but I loved it the first time I saw it, which was long ago. People who missed the week it went through the queue and sat near the front page saw it for the first time this time through. I just want this kind of dupe to be more obvious. I think a DUPE tag, like the BLOCKED tag would be quite useful in such situations.

I think it dilutes the sift to have these videos, and you guys talk about that allt he time when you change the queue rules. Videos for widely differeing tasts are one thing: videos like this that are essentially exactly the same, down to the motion of hte table, are another.

I think your all dupes for spending time debating on the dupeness of this non-dupe. Its not a dupe video.

Complete split decision by my count. I get to play chief justice and *return it. My reasoning is that a dupe refers to the same video, or portion of it.

Although this is similar in content and on the same subject- it's a completely different video.

I don't want to go down that gray, gray road of judging the dupeness of a video on the same topic as another.

You know what I don't get about this table? - the arc on the outside of the pie wedges would be correct for the smaller size, but too small for the bigger size- how does it do it without making a kind of lumpy daisy shape?

Maybe it's all just CGI and we've all been duped.

Look Closer, It drops extra leaves between each section as well as the center.
I'm not a geometry major, but apparently someone is.
