It's all out war between the competing car dealers, and no nasty trick is off limits. In this scene they hijack the airwaves during a presidential address to run a bootleg commercial for their used car lot. What better way to get the buyers attention than blowing the shit out of the competitions cars.

That was silly and great.

Don't know if enough Sifters were around when this movie came out. A classic, probably the funniest thig Robert Zemekis ever did.

As I heard it, Steven Spielberg loved this movie so much, he asked if he could do their next script, and that's how 1941 came about.

Russel is talking with Carpenter about all the film he's done...Carpenter loved this one, and Russel, with fond memories of making it, kinna laughed and shrugged oh well....Classic scene...Lenny and Squiggy.....
