maybe an odd thing to point out, but anybody else notice the 'aljazeera' just blocks out the whole bottom of the screen (over other news agency's logos). that doesn't seem kosher...

Maybe that's by request or something? I know in Australia the tv stations block out ads at the bottom of the screen for WWE Broadcasts. It's kinda weird but whatever.

Haiti, Chile, New Zealand, and now Japan? Is the earth trying to shake us off or what?

Don't forget the new volcanic activity in Hawaii...the plates are a'moving, and the magma plume's looking for a new path of least resistance. All in all, if there's a message, it's that we should appreciate the period of relative climatic and geological stability that have given us these wonderful tools and toys, and we should dedicate ourselves to do whatever is necessary to hold onto them a little while longer. Perhaps one should be using them less as toys, and more as tools.

And what exactly would God be helping us from?

Lord, please help us to steer clear of your wrath, for it is great, and you're kind of a dick.

I've never seen anything like that tsunami water rushing at what looks to be 80mph over farmland. People driving down the road when their cars are swept away like toys. The water so thick with debris it looked more like churning earth than water.
