People build these systems and compete the same way people build cars and race them. you are somehow correct, it is about the numbers, but its to brag about the Sound Pressure Level, the spl that gets produced inside the cab of the vehicle which is decibels. I used to be into stereos and I could keep going. The dick on the block who bumps his beat and makes all this quarter panels and license plate vibrate like hell is NOT the same thing as a competition vehicle as seen above in the video.

These vehicles are full of science, and science is cool !! when I was into it seven years ago the world record was like 171 decibels.
