Tuvan throat singers on a frozen river in Siberia

Those guys better watch out they are making some frogs very excited.

Very amazing though, it would of taken ages to condition their throats and voices to handle those tones at extended lengths.

i remember figuring out how to do this one night when i was a sophomore in college walking around my apartment. it was really late at night and my voice was kinda messed up. had a really impressive whistle going. it was really fun.

I wonder what they are singing about... It sounds happy to me... but it could be sad too... I love it...

Oh and <ahref="http://www.videosift.com/video/Werner-Herzog-Loves-the-Amazon-Jungle">Werner Herzog for the world!!!

Wow, so this is the sound Shpongle sampled in the beginning of the track Divine Moments of Truth. In this clip Divine Moments of Truth is used as background music. After the annoying fly bit, the good stuff starts. Though Shpongle should only be listened to in full CD quality

edit: the song also appears to have been sifted

I remember one of the last shows I saw on Richard Feynman and how he had set up a trip with a bunch of his friends to visit Tuva (somewhere deep in Russia I think). This is similar to the videos taken by one of his friends who wound up going.
